Information we use
We may process account details, profile information, photos, messages, invitations, meeting status, reports, ratings, feedback, subscription status, security logs and product analytics needed to operate and protect the service.
Why we use it
Purposes include providing the marketplace, authenticating users, enabling communications, administering memberships, preventing fraud, moderating safety issues, responding to support requests, enforcing our terms and improving service reliability and product performance.
Sharing
Information may be shared with infrastructure, authentication, payment, email, storage and moderation providers where necessary to provide the service. Members and Companions see only information required for discovery and their permitted interactions.
Payments
Stripe processes Acompny membership payments. We do not ask users to send full card or bank-account details to customer support. Companion meeting fees are currently paid directly between the Member and Companion and are not processed by Acompny.
Retention and account requests
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and protect users. Some information may need to be retained after account closure where required for those purposes.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to certain processing and to receive certain data in portable form. Signed-in users can access available privacy controls in their account.
